In response, the company released its finest model to date: the Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones. These $ 180 sports wireless Bluetooth earbuds have addressed nearly all of the Elite 75t's flaws while maintaining lively, personalized sound and good battery life.

The Elite Active 75t is also waterproof and can be submerged in water up to 1 meter.Thus, I can safely say that these are some of the best sports headphones for this budget.

Who is the Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones for?

I personally enjoyed reviewing the Elite Active 75t. The earbuds have received the same attractive aesthetics and shape as the previous model, and the size is reduced by 22%. In my opinion, the most important design element is the IP57 water resistance rating. Jabra has specially made this gadget waterproof, dust and sweat resistant. They will work for a really long time, unless of course you drown them in the sea.

The Jabra Elite Active 75t Charging Case looks exactly like the Elite 75t, albeit a little more durable. Although the case is not waterproof, it is well enough protected to keep the earplugs safe. The magnetic cover closes tightly, while the magnetic connectors on the inside hold the latches in the lock, the case does not open when dropped and the ears do not fly off the floor, unlike the AirPods Pro.

The Jabra Elite Active 75t has an additional weight reduction of 5.5 grams, and the case itself weighs 35 grams. This makes the gadget ultra-light, so that the ears will not get tired and the pockets will not stretch. In the Elite Active 75t, I listened to music for 3 hours a day before fatigue set in. Inside you will find 3 sets of ear cushions of different sizes and a USB-C charging cable - that's enough.

Form has never been a problem for the Elite series. Very little has changed, with the Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds providing excellent in-ear stability. This is confirmed by any basic exercise. The silicone or gel tips fit nicely and snugly, and are also good at absorbing sweat to keep the headset from slipping out of your ear.

What's really interesting about the Elite Active 75t is the variety of colors: Navy, Titanium Black, and Copper Black. These three variants have already been on sale since March 2020, and Gray, Mint and Sienna will hit the market closer to summer.

Despite its small size, the Jabra Elite Active 75t has two buttons on the front of each earbud, as well as in-ear headset detection are among the main benefits. The controls work better here than on the previous model. When reviewing the Elite Active 75t, each button emitted a pleasant click that indicated command completion. The plugs also accurately recorded movements: removing them from the ear automatically paused the music, and when inserted, playback resumed.

The great news is that the Jabra Elite Active 75t has an integrated voice assistant. I didn't have a chance to test Alexa, but Siri and Google Play registered quickly and responded quickly to all voice commands.

HearThrough function

HearThrough uses the built-in microphones to transmit ambient sounds to you and allows you to communicate with people when you are not on a call without removing your headphones. HearThrough levels and settings can be changed in the Jabra Sound + app.

Sidetone function

Sidetone allows you to hear your voice better while on a phone call. Sidetone settings can be changed using the Jabra Sound + app.

How do I connect the Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones?

1. Remove the earbuds from the charging case to turn them on. You can also press and hold the left and right buttons (1 sec) to turn them on.
2. Press and hold (3 seconds) the left and right buttons on the earbuds until the LED on the right earbud flashes blue. The earbuds are ready to be paired with your phone.
3. Put on the headphones and follow the voice prompts to pair with your smartphone.

The Elite Active 75t headphones use Bluetooth 5.0, which creates a range of 10 meters. In my review of the Jabra Elite Active 75t, the call quality was as reliable as I expected: Bluetooth 5.0 worked great and Android and Apple devices (iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro) connected instantly when I took them out of the charging case.

The Elite Active 75t also supports multipoint connectivity, which means you can connect the headset to two devices at the same time. Multipoint is one of my favorite Bluetooth features, as it allows me to track incoming phone notifications while listening to music from my laptop. The Jabra Elite Active 75t memorizes up to eight devices simultaneously, making it easy to manually switch between sources.

The only high quality Bluetooth codec supported by the Jabra Elite Active 75t was AAC. However, it is only good for iOS users, as AAC performance is not that great on Android. In defense of Elite Active 75t wireless Bluetooth headphones, I will say that codec support is not too important for a sports gadget. For True Wireless Stereo, the most important things are durability, comfort and fit, and noise isolation.

Jabra Sound + app

Jabra Sound + is one of my favorite headphone apps because it offers a number of unique features combined into a user-friendly interface. First of all, the MySound + app allows you to check and install updates.You can create and save your own personal equalizer or switch between six presets, including a speech one, which is great for podcasts.

You can even choose between three equalizer presets for calls:

1. default;
2. amplification of high frequencies;
3. amplification of low frequencies.

There is also a HearThrough mode, which is necessary if you are doing outdoor sports and you need to hear external sounds. A huge plus is that you can choose which virtual assistant to use. I personally prefer Google Assistant, but users can also choose Siri or Alexa.

Jabra Elite Active 75t: sound quality

As I said earlier in my review of the Jabra Elite Active 75t, many of the previous version's problems have been eliminated in the headphones. I will pay special attention to the sound stage. It is much better balanced and the sound is really bright!

In sports headphones, bass is of the utmost importance and priority. The Elite Active 75t certainly has enough of it to keep you energized and motivated as you train. During testing in the gym, the old Bullet For My Valentine went with a bang: with such a rhythm, you can even spend the whole day in training, pulling iron!

The low frequencies are significantly boosted over the mids, which is great for training. However, sound detail may be impaired.

When you need to recover from your workout, the headphones are great for jazz music. It sounds very soothing and melodic, which creates at. The rhythmic bass lines and high keys were so delicately handled that I heard little things like fingertip rubbing on guitar strings.

The effectiveness of passive isolation is quite high, but I advise you to find suitable nozzles for this.

The sound volume on the Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones is very high, so I advise you to reduce it by a few points - especially for EDM and hip-hop fans. The sound is not distorted, but it becomes so loud that the eardrums begin to ache. Even HearThrough won't help here. The good news is that listening at a medium volume level produces excellent sound clarity and tight bass.

Jabra Elite Active 75t microphone quality

Like the previous 65t model, the Jabra Elite Active 75t sports wireless headphones have multiple microphones. The quad microphone system works well with DSP technology and allows the gadget to transmit voices clearly while suppressing background noise.

The four-microphone system does an excellent job of attenuating background noise from the speaker's voice.

This is not surprising as Jabra has some of the best professional headphones on the market. Anyone who cares about audio quality on a call should definitely consider the Elite Active 75t for a purchase.

Noise suppression

As much as we would like to see active noise cancellation on the Jabra Elite Active 75t wireless Bluetooth headphones, the manufacturers decided to leave this idea for future development. However, there is passive noise cancellation here, which is not as powerful as ANC, but still effective on a sports and running headset.

Jabra introduced its four-microphone system - each earplug has one microphone in the front and one in the back to suppress ambient sounds from different angles. Yes, this noise cancellation is not able to drown out the rumble on a construction site, but this is not the case with AirPods Pro, which has quality ANC. The gadget significantly reduces noise, which allows you to calmly listen to music in a moderately loud environment - you will definitely not hear talkative customers in the store.

Jabra Elite Active 75t: battery life

The model received an increased battery life, which is now 7.5 hours without recharging. This figure is equal to the Elite 75t and more than the AirPods Pro (4.5 hours), but less than Powerbeats 4 (15 hours). My review of the Jabra Elite Active 75t found the earbuds to last for about 7 hours, which is still impressive when you consider Spotify streaming and high volume. This is enough for you to do sports for 4-5 days, if the workout lasts 1.5 hours a day.

When it comes to case runtime, the Jabra Elite Active 75t has a longer battery life than both Apple models - the manufacturer guarantees 28 hours of music playback. It is better to measure this indicator using charge cycles (how many times the headphones can be charged 100%). In the case of the Elite Active 75t, the Kesa charge is enough for 4 times. Sounds good, I think! In three weeks of reviewing the Elite Active 75t, I only had to charge the headphone case once.

Which is better Jabra Elite Active 75t or Jabra Elite 75?

The Jabra Elite Active 75t and Elite 75t Wireless Sports Headphones (TWS) are indistinguishable from each other. Bluetooth codec support, firmware version, battery life, everything is the same. The noted difference between the two headsets lies in durability: the Active model is waterproof and can be submerged up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

If you try to do the same with the Elite 75t, you are left with two very expensive plastic earplugs. In addition, the new model is available in various colors: navy blue, copper black, titanium black, gray, sienna and mint.

In my opinion, it is better to overpay $ 20 and buy a modern and durable Jabra Elite Active 75t wireless earplug headphones with IP57 protection and a variety of colors.

Summary of the Jabra Elite Active 75t review

After reviewing the Jabra Elite Active 75t, it became clear that the model is one of the leaders in its segment. The sound is open and rich, providing excellent audibility of the beats without compromising the mids and highs. Battery life (both on a single charge and on a charger) is superior to all AirPods. The extremely durable shell ensures that these running sports headphones won't be easy to break.

It would be incorrect to compare the new product from Jabra and AirPods Pro, since the only significant difference in my opinion is the absence of active noise cancellation (ANC). This isn't really an issue, though, given that Jabra's passive noise cancellation does an excellent job of isolating ambient sounds.

In addition, the Jabra Elite Active 75t headphones have a wireless connection for pairing with iOS and Android devices. And even though the newly announced features weren't available until Q2 2020, the Sound + app has a lot of features that the listener needs.

And it is worth considering that the gadget has a lower cost - $ 180. Neither AirPods Pro ($ 250) nor Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 ($ 350) isn't that profitable.
