The Sony WH-1000XM4 on-ear headphones will soon replace the popular WH-1000XM3 brand. I previously wrote about Sony WH-1000XM4 release
JustPlayingHard (@justplayinghard) shared information after examining the Headphone Connect 7.0.1 code, which included details as well as images showing the Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. They are a complete copy of the XM3. It is assumed that you can change their settings based on your location using Google Maps. And the WH-1000XM4 will support something called DSEE Extreme - perhaps an enhanced version of the AI XM3 DSEE HX to enhance audio quality.
Sony WH-1000XM4 Info from Headphone Connect 7.0.1
Looks identical to the XM3.
It'll be able to change some (if not all) headphone settings based on your location (set locations or your own) and uses Google Maps API for it.- JustPlayingHard (@justplayinghard)
A couple more news came from the XDA developers. Sony WH-1000XM4 supports simultaneous connection of two devices (but not higher quality LDAC audio codec), and they will also be able to store more Bluetooth pairings.
This is not to say that the WH-1000XM4 headphones are expensive, but you pay for a premium model of on-ear headphones that completely remove extraneous noise from your life when listening to music.
Let me remind you that the release date of the new Sony WH-1000XM4 in september 2020, and the price will be about $ 350.
