Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro specifications and features
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro are designed primarily to work with Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The new “auto switch” feature allows the headphones to maintain a simultaneous connection with two Galaxy devices so that they can switch as needed, such as between a tablet for media and a smartphone for calls. When used with Galaxy devices, there is also 360 Audio with Dolby Head Tracking for spatial sound that responds to your head movements.
As expected, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds have an internal design for better passive noise isolation and active noise canceling. This marks a significant departure from the unique bean-shaped Galaxy Buds Live, which has been met with some criticism for its odd design and lack of proper noise isolation.
Each Galaxy Buds Pro has three microphones - two external and one internal, as well as a separate voice receiver.

All features of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro can be customized with the companion Galaxy Wearable app, which allows users to customize equalizer, active noise canceling settings, and more. Samsung says the Galaxy Buds Pro has Intelligent Active Noise Canceling, which can quickly switch between ANC and Ambient Sound modes, and also lower the playback volume when the user speaks, similar to the chat feature on the Sony WH-1000XM4.
The claimed battery life of the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro is up to 8 hours on headphones with active noise canceling turned off and up to 5 hours with them on. With the charging case, the total battery life is up to 28 hours with ANC off and 18 hours with ANC on. There is USB Type-C fast charging, as well as Qi wireless charging for the case. The earbuds are IPX7 water resistant.

For sound, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro has a two-way speaker system that combines an 11mm woofer with a 6.5mm tweeter inside the driver housing. Communication is carried out via Bluetooth 5 with support for SBC, AAC codecs and Samsung's proprietary Scalable codec. When used with modern Samsung smartphones and tablets, the headphones will use the Scalable codec, which promises better audio quality through high bit rates and improved latency levels.
