Apple is probably not going to announce new AirPods 3 and AirPods Pro 2 this year, contrary to recent reports.
Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the Apple AirPods 3 release date will be in first half of 2021, and AirPods Pro 2 in 4th quarter of 2021 or Q1 2022.
Keep in mind that the first generation AirPods Pro are only a few months old, so the 2020 update doesn't make sense. But since Apple usually updates its products every year, it is expected that AirPods and AirPods Pro will be updated by 2022.
Ming-Chi Kuo has been making fairly accurate predictions for a long time when it comes to Apple data breaches. He even shared specific details about Apple's upcoming headphones. For example, that they will have different embedded systems.
New AirPods (which were supposed to be at the March Event) are now ready to go.
Probably alongside the MacBook Pro next month.

Most interestingly, Kuo believes John Prosser and the Digitimes are wrong. Because they claimed that Apple is planning on launching the AirPods X on-ear headphones or AirPods Pro Lite earbuds without noise canceling.
Apple Insider reported that Kuo told investors that sources had confused the information regarding the upcoming launch of Beats.
