Design of the new Apple AirPods Max
Apple AirPods Max have a minimalist yet luxurious design typical of the tech giant, with sleek lines and stainless steel casing - they come in a variety of stylish colors, including space gray, silver, sky blue, green, and pink.
The headband frame is made of stainless steel with “telescopic headband arms” that slide out to fit your head. Memory foam ear cushions should provide maximum comfort during long listening sessions. These ear cups are attached to the headband by a mechanism that "balances and distributes the pressure of the ear cup and allows it to independently pivot and rotate to match the unique contours of the user's head."
On-ear controls are minimal. Interestingly, Apple has replicated the Digital Crown on the Apple Watch, which provides precise volume control and the ability to play or pause audio, skip tracks, answer or end phone calls, and activate Siri.
You can simply turn the dial to adjust the volume, or press once to play / pause music. Press once to answer and end phone calls, twice to go to the next track, and press three times to go back.
There's also a noise control button that lets you toggle between active noise canceling and transparency mode, and the bottom of the earbud houses an Apple Lightning port for charging. A charging cable is included with the earbuds, unlike the latest iPhone.
