Why doesn't one Apple AirPods work?

The long-awaited purchase doesn't make you happy? Did one of your two ears suddenly stop working? You can try to determine the cause of the malfunction yourself if:

• One earbud is quieter than the other.
• During a conversation or playing music, the connection is lost.
• The headphones are not paired with each other and require a reboot.
• The firmware has not been updated for a long time.
• The volume balance was not checked.
• The headphones have never been cleaned of dirt.

How to restart AirPods?

1. Please note that both earbuds charge unevenly: one of them may not be fully charged.
2. Having trouble detecting the charge level of your headphones? Perhaps it's the charging case. Check the indicator: yellow color means that it can be used to recharge the headphones only once until they are completely discharged. If the indicator is green, the reason lies elsewhere.
3. If one Airpods Pro isn't working, it's worth trying to charge it. Just 15 minutes is enough for 3 hours of work. While your ears are in the case, you can try the rest of our list.
4. Never disdain simple mechanical operations: even restarting your phone or case can help you.
5. If, after rebooting, one AirPods still does not work, you need to try to remove the pairing with the phone:
   • In the IOS system, the procedure is as follows: you need to go to the Bluetooth settings, select Airpods from the list of devices, click "Forget device" and confirm the selection.
   • In Android we do the same.
6. After removal, the device must be placed back in the case. First, we try to connect them without resetting. If the problem persists, you need to reboot the ears themselves.
7. We remove the paired device again, put the ears in the charging case for half a minute. After opening its lid, hold down the button for a long time until the case indicator starts flashing. After that, you need to close the charger cover again and try to connect to the phone.

Remember! If, after all the manipulations carried out, one ear still does not work, perhaps the point is in the "gland" itself. In such cases, you need the help of a specialist.

What if one earbud is quieter than the other?
